Game server hosting: Minecraft, FiveM, Garry’s Mod, Hytale
Four games, one high-clock platform
Pick your game. You order on its page, so the panel sets up the right software straight away.
Six plans, the same for every game
You choose by memory, not by game. No plan has a player limit.

Built for tick rate, not for spec sheets
Game servers work in ticks: several times a second they compute movement, physics, entities and scripts, and each tick has to finish before the next one starts. In Minecraft, Garry’s Mod and at the core of FiveM, that loop runs on a single thread, so what matters is how fast one core is, not how many cores the machine has.
That is why every plan, from Starter to Business, runs on the Xeon E-2386G at up to 5.1 GHz turbo with reserved vCores. More vCores in bigger plans handle chunk generation, garbage collection, networking and databases in parallel. Cheap game server hosting here never means slower hardware.
Everything included, on every plan
Every game server comes with the Pterodactyl panel: live console, file manager, SFTP, sub-users and scheduled tasks. Depending on the plan you get one or two MySQL databases, one to three backup slots and five to fifteen port allocations. UnioShield DDoS filtering on L3, L4 and L7 is always on and never costs extra.
There is no player limit: how many people can play at once depends on memory and what your mods and plugins use. Billing is monthly with no setup fee, renewals cost what you paid at checkout, and upgrading keeps your server exactly as it is: no reinstall, no lost world.
How much memory your project needs
Memory is how you pick your plan. A vanilla or Paper server for five or six friends, or a round of TTT, runs on 2 GB with Starter at €2.00. Essential with 4 GB for €4.00 handles ten to fifteen Minecraft players with plugins or a FiveM server in development.
Modpacks and roleplay change the math. A Forge or NeoForge modpack uses 6 to 8 GB before anyone joins, and a public DarkRP or FiveM city with ESX or QBCore wants 8 GB or more: Modded with 8 GB for €6.00 is the starting point, Pro with 16 GB for €8.00 the comfortable choice.
Advanced and Business with 24 and 32 GB are made for networks with several instances behind a proxy and heavily modded servers. Guessed wrong? Switch plans in the client area without reinstalling.
Install plugins without touching a file
The panel handles server software, plugins, mods and worlds right in your browser. No SSH, no manual .jar uploads – and if you prefer SFTP, it is always there.
Versions and server software
Paper, Purpur, Spigot, vanilla, Forge, NeoForge or Fabric: switch software and version from a dropdown, without reinstalling and without losing your world. A backup before a big version jump is still a good idea.
Plugins
Search plugins right in the panel and install them in one click, updates included. Missing dependencies are flagged before installing, not as an error in the console at the next start.
Modpacks and mods
A CurseForge modpack is set up in one step, with the matching server software and the right Java version. Add or remove single mods in the same place.
Worlds
Import, export and switch between several worlds. Prepare a new map in peace and put it live when it is ready, instead of rebuilding the running server on the fly.
Your own subdomain
Instead of an IP and port, your players type an address like yourserver.uniohost.fr. Set up the subdomain yourself in the panel, no ticket needed.
Backups and restore
One to three backup slots depending on the plan. Create backups whenever you want and restore them in one click. Schedule a task and they run automatically, for example every night at 4 a.m.
Game servers in Strasbourg, in the heart of Europe
Our game servers run in Strasbourg, right on the Rhine at the French–German border, in the middle of Western Europe. VPS and web hosting run in Paris, our second site. Both are in the EU, both are DDoS-protected, and both reach the rest of Europe over the same premium network.

Game server FAQ
Which games can I host with UnioHost?
Minecraft, FiveM, Garry’s Mod and Hytale. All four run on the same hardware at the same prices; plans differ only in vCores, memory, NVMe storage, databases, ports and backup slots. For other games, a VPS with root access lets you set up the server yourself.
Where are the game servers located?
In Strasbourg, France, on the Rhine at the French–German border, in the middle of Western Europe. Your actual latency depends on your players’ own connection and their provider’s routing, but the network reaches the whole continent through SmartNet in Frankfurt and the Nine-IX exchange.
Is there a player limit?
No, we do not sell slots. How many people can play at once depends on memory, mods and plugins. The only limits come from the games themselves: Garry’s Mod allows at most 128 players, and in FiveM your Cfx.re license key decides how many slots are unlocked.
How fast is my game server ready?
A few minutes after payment. The server is created automatically, you receive your Pterodactyl credentials and pick the software, version or modpack there. That works around the clock, nights and weekends included.
Can I change plans or cancel?
Yes. Switch plans in the client area without reinstalling; files, worlds and databases stay. Billing is monthly, there is no setup fee and you can cancel any time. Renewals cost the same as your first order.
How do I reach support?
By ticket in the client area or on our Discord server. Tell us the game, your plan and what you changed before the problem started. A console excerpt helps far more than “it does not work”.
Not sure which plan fits?
Message us on Discord. We’ll help you pick the right plan and answer every question before you order.
